"If we all do one random act of kindness daily, we just might set the world in the right direction"

My daily inspiration is Mark Bustos, a self-described “hair artist” at New York City’s Three Square’s Studio. According to this Huffington Post article, Bustos spends every Sunday looking for people in need who would appreciate a haircut.

Of all the haircuts Bustos has given over the years—in New York, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and Los Angles—one recipient has stayed with him:

"Jemar Banks [center bottom picture]I’ll never forget the name,” Bustos told HuffPost. “After offering him a haircut and whatever food he wanted to eat, he didn’t have much to say throughout the whole process, until after I showed him what he looked like when I was done … The first thing he said to me was, ‘Do you know anyone that’s hiring?’

Bustos, who often uses the tag #BeAwesomeToSomebody on his Instagram photos documenting his haircuts, hopes that his good deeds will inspire others to demonstrate kindness of their own.
